Game #34: New York Knicks (17-17) vs. Miami Heat (26-7)

A game that has been debated as one of the most anticipated regular-season matchups in Heat history is finally upon us, as the Miami Heat will welcome the New York Knicks to the AAA on Thursday night. The main reason for all the hype is the Knicks new point guard Jeremy Lin, who has captivated the league with his play combined with the Knicks sudden streak of wins.
The Heat come in on a seven game winning streak, having won each game by at least 12 points. They had a similar streak last season, winning nine straight by double figures. Miami has been playing at an extremely high level for a while now. They have won 18 of their last 21 games overall, which is a streak that no other team in the league can match

Tipoff is set for 7pm. The game will be broadcast nationally on TNT

QB to his Reciever

Back in February of 2011 Dwayne Wade threw an impressive full court alley-OOOOooop in game pass to Lebron against the Indiana Pacers.  It looked like a pass from Tom Brady connecting to Randy Moss on a Hail Mary TOUCHDOWN.

Fast forward to present times. February 21st 2012 Lebron James made a lovely Defensive block which in turn led to another awesome full court alley-OOOOoop pass.  Only difference was that the roles were switched.  this time Lebron played Eli Manning and Wade was ran a streak route to the BAHA  (basket).

This just might go down as a play of the year candidate.

Linsanity vs King James

A little Asian American has become the TONY (Talk Of New York).  Hes living the American Dream

Many people say its luck, some say its because he's playing sub-par teams and then you have those that believe he just that nice.
Since Feb. 4, Lin has averaged 26.8 points and eight assists on a true shooting percentage of 58 percent. The 13-15 Knicks have won all four games Lin has started.  on top of starting those 4 games Carmelo and Stoudemire were out of the line up.

Heat forward LeBron James has been following the Lin-sanity from afar, and has been duly impressed with the adversity Lin has overcome.

"He's playing and they're winning," James said. "I've heard about how he's staying with a friend, and about his getting cut and being a week away from not knowing if he was going to stick with the team, about how (the Knicks) might release him to sign Mike James.
"Then he gets the start against New Jersey and the rest is history. You always want someone to succeed when his back is against the wall. Now his chest is against the wall and he'’s seeing everything coming at him from every angle."

James wishes Lin well -- that is until the Heat faces the Knicks on February 23 in Miami.

"Best of luck to him," James said. "I don't want him to be good when (the Knicks) are playing us, but other than that, good for him.”

Larry Bird picks Kobe over Leron

LARRY BIRD PERFERS TEAMING WITH KOBE OVER LEBRON

Larry Bird is weighing into the whole Kobe Bryant vs. LeBron James debate. Kind of. Actually, his nuance is kind of refreshing, even if he appears to prefer hypothetically suiting up with Bryant over James. In an interview with Bill Simmons of Grantland, Bird spoke of the perks of playing with either two former MVPs:
"Well, probably Kobe, because of the fact that ... well, of course he wouldn't have been shooting as much as he does now ... but his desire to win, his dedication, to always get better, uh, and he's just, he's just tough," Bird said. "He's just a tough cat.
"But, if you want to have fun, like I did with Bill Walton, play with LeBron. It would have probably been more fun to play with LeBron, but if you want to win and win and win, it's Kobe. Not that LeBron's not a winner, just that [Kobe's] mindset is to go into every practice, every game, to get better."
Larry's right. Kobe is absolutely insane when it comes to competitive drive. And, if you'll allow for the easy joke, he'd probably be the only NBA player to ever hold Larry Bird below 20 points on average, mainly because Kobe would be shooting so dang much (to use a Bird-ism). Of course, James played a full month of basketball after Bryant's Lakers were swept out of the playoffs last year, so let's not go too over the top with the part about Kobe always being a sure winner. At least James' Heat took two games from Dallas.

Will Orlando end Lebrons win streak?

This should be a good game Lebron vs Dwight Howard 2/8/12

impressive or Not

It was'nt that great now. Lebron is damn near 6'8 jumping over a dude thats 5'11. If you ask me its not as impressive as Vince Carters version.

Now thats impressive.
